A good sabai should catch the light as you move and still look refined up close. The Kanchana does both. Metallic thread embroidery covers a sheer base in the Ratchawat pattern, a traditional Thai lattice of diamonds with a small floral motif set inside each one. A wide border of scrolling vines runs along both long edges, framing the lattice and keeping the edges crisp over your shoulder.
Each end has a choeng, a decorative end panel of slender floral sprays, so the sabai looks complete whichever way you wrap it. Every colorway pairs two tones, one for the borders and lattice and another for the motifs inside, giving the pattern depth rather than one flat shimmer. Ready to wear, it suits a bride, a bridesmaid, a temple visit, a cultural event, or a photo session in full Thai dress.
The Kanchana is made of cotton, with metallic thread embroidery and a sheer look. It is 3 meters long (about 118 inches, or 3¼ yards) and 10 inches wide (about 25 cm), with decorative end borders on both ends.
Because the sabai is sheer, you'll see some of whatever you wear underneath. A cream or color-matched inner wrap lets the embroidery stand out. The 3-meter length gives you enough fabric to wrap around the body and drape over one shoulder in the traditional style, with the decorated end left to hang.
Wash very gently by hand, or dry clean.
