Find Your Fit
Measure, match, order — in three simple steps.
Thai traditional wear is cut differently from Western clothing. Our garments are sized to fit beautifully on real bodies, with structured silhouettes and little to no stretch — so taking a moment to measure yourself properly is the difference between a piece that fits perfectly and one that doesn’t.
This guide takes about three minutes. All you need is a soft tape measure (or a piece of string and a ruler).
How to Measure Yourself
Watch: a one-minute guide to measuring yourself at home.
“My mother taught me to measure with a piece of string when I was eight. A good fit isn’t about numbers — it’s about how a garment carries you through the day.”
— Aiw, FounderChoose Your Fit
Our collection is grouped into three fit families, each cut to its own proportions. Find the family that matches the piece you’re shopping for, then match your measurements to the chart.
Heritage Fit
Our widest size range — XS through 5XL. Designed for everyday Thai dress and ceremonial wear, with a generous, true-to-measurement cut.
The Heritage Fit covers our signature silk and woven sets — blouses paired with traditional high-waist Pha Sin wrap skirts. Garments are tailored with structured shoulders, fitted bodices, and almost no stretch. Measure yourself and match your numbers to the chart — what you measure is what you wear.

Pha Sin (Wrap Skirt) — Waist & Hip
The Pha Sin is a high-waist wrap skirt that sits roughly one inch above the natural waistline — which is why its waist measurement runs an inch smaller than the matching blouse. This is by design. Measure your natural waist (as shown in the diagram above) and match it to the skirt waist column.

Fit notes for Heritage pieces
Structured, zero stretch. Heritage silks and woven cottons hold their shape beautifully but offer no give. Allow one to two inches of room across the bust for comfortable movement and sitting.
Between sizes? Always size up. A blouse waist can be taken in by a local tailor — a tight bodice cannot be let out.

Ceremonial Fit
Structured, tailored cuts for weddings, ordinations, temple visits and state occasions. Paired with free-size Chong Kraben and Sabai.
Our Ceremonial Fit pieces are formal Thai ensembles in the Chut Thai tradition — fitted blouses worn with a free-size Chong Kraben (pleated trouser-skirt) and a Sabai (shoulder sash). The blouse is the only piece you size; the wrap pieces fit most.
Blouse — Bust & Length

| 2XL | 44″ / 112 cm | 25″ / 64 cm | 42 | 14 | 10 |
Fit notes for Ceremonial pieces
The Chong Kraben is one size, with an elastic waistband that stretches comfortably up to 38″ (97 cm). Pleated and pinned at the front in the traditional style.
The Sabai is a 3-metre length of cloth draped over the shoulder, self-styled with a pin or tuck. One size fits all.
Optional jewellery set includes a pendant necklace (12″ chain, 3.5″ pendant), a sangwan sash chain (37″ length), and an adjustable belt (fits up to 37″ waist). One size, fits most.
Between sizes? Always size up. Ceremonial blouses are structured and unforgiving — better to have a touch of room than to feel restricted on the day.

Fit notes for Men’s pieces
Relaxed cut. Men’s shirts are designed to skim the body, not hug it. The chest measurement above is the finished garment width — pick the size that gives you 2–4 inches of room over your own chest measurement.
Between sizes? Size down for a slimmer look, size up for traditional comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Thai sizing compare to US or European sizing?
Thai traditional wear is cut closer to the body than Western ready-to-wear, and Thai standard sizes generally run one to two sizes smaller than US equivalents. We’ve already done the conversion for you in every chart — but if you’re between sizes, we recommend going by your actual bust, waist, and hip measurements rather than the size you usually wear at home.
Can my outfit be altered or custom-tailored?
Yes. All our garments can be taken in by a local tailor — most alterations (waist, hem, sleeve length) cost very little and take an hour or two. We don’t currently offer made-to-measure, but we’re happy to advise on which size will give a tailor the most to work with. Message us before ordering if you’d like personalised guidance.
What if I’m pregnant or my measurements change frequently?
For pregnancy or fluctuating measurements, we recommend our Ceremonial Fit pieces — the free-size Chong Kraben wrap and Sabai sash accommodate a wide range of body changes. For Heritage Fit blouses, size up and have the bodice taken in after baby. Send us a message for personalised advice.
Do you offer custom or extended sizes?
Our standard range runs XS through 5XL across the Heritage Fit, which covers the vast majority of our customers. If you need a size outside this range, contact us — we can sometimes arrange custom sizing with our artisan partners for a small surcharge and a longer lead time.
Will the fabric shrink or stretch over time?
Our silks and silk blends are pre-treated and hold their shape — they won’t shrink or stretch noticeably with proper care. Woven cottons may soften and relax by half a centimetre after the first wash. Batik (Pa Te) cotton becomes more comfortable with wear but does not change in size. Hand-wash cold, hang dry, iron on reverse — see each product page for full care instructions.
What if it doesn’t fit when it arrives?
We offer free size exchanges within 30 days of delivery — no questions asked. Message us with your order number and we’ll arrange a return label and ship the correct size. We’d rather you have a piece that fits beautifully than one that sits in your wardrobe.
Still Not Sure?
Send us your bust, waist and hip measurements and we’ll recommend the right size for the piece you’re considering. Free size exchanges within 30 days if it doesn’t fit perfectly the first time.
