The Story
The Chut Thai (ชุดไทย) is the ensemble men wear for the moments that matter — weddings, ordinations, temple visits, engagement photography, cultural performances, Songkran. Rooted in the menswear of the Rattanakosin royal courts, it’s been quietly modernised for a generation that wants to honour tradition without wearing costume.
The Det edition is the more relaxed of our men’s sets — a short-sleeved shirt in a printed diamond motif, worn with a plain black pre-sewn Chong Kraben (โจงกระเบน) and finished with a brocade sabai (สไบ) sash carrying the elephant motif. Elephants (ช้าง) have signified strength, prosperity and protection in Thai culture for centuries, and the sash gives this set its quiet ceremonial weight. Comfortable enough for a full day of celebration; refined enough for the photographs that follow.

Fabric & Care
The shirt is a printed woven fabric, light and breathable for warm-weather ceremonies. The Chong Kraben is a smooth woven fabric with a soft sheen. The sabai is woven brocade with metallic accents carrying the elephant motif. Dry clean recommended to preserve the print, weave and metallic threads. If hand-washing, use cold water and a gentle detergent, lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight, and press on a low setting on the reverse side. Store folded, away from damp.
Wear It For
Weddings, engagement ceremonies, ordinations, temple visits, Songkran celebrations, Thai New Year, cultural performances, engagement photography, and family gatherings where the day calls for something considered but comfortable. A short-sleeved cut for warm-weather occasions; the elephant sash brings the ceremonial weight.
