The Chansuda sabai is meant to be the piece people notice first in a traditional Thai outfit. Beaded flowers and curling vines cover it from shoulder to tip, framed by a neat border along each edge, and the end panel has its own delicate finishing design, so it looks just as pretty hanging down your back as draped across the front.
The sheer base lets a little skin or bodice show through the embroidery, keeping it light despite all the detail. As you move, the sequins and stones catch the light, which is lovely in wedding photos and at evening events.
