Ordering traditional Thai dress online should feel easy. If the fit isn’t right or you’ve changed your mind, here’s exactly how it works.
The Basics
You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to let us know you’d like to return or exchange something. Once we’ve approved it, your item should be postmarked back to us within 14 days.
To be eligible, pieces must come back in new condition — unworn, unwashed, unaltered, free of any marks or scent, with the original tags still attached. Trying something on is completely expected; we simply ask that it returns in the same state it reached you. Once tags are removed, an item can no longer be returned.
As a small brand shipping from Thailand, the cost of return postage is the customer’s responsibility. We recommend a tracked service so you can see your parcel safely back with us.
Get Your Size Right — and Skip the Hassle
The easiest, fastest and cheapest outcome is the one where your piece fits beautifully the first time. Our fabrics are structured with little to no stretch, so the right measurements really matter.
Need a Different Size?
This is the most common reason people get in touch, and we’ve made it as painless as we can. Email us within 14 days and tell us the size you’d like instead. We’ll confirm it’s in stock and guide you through sending the original back.
You’ll cover the cost of returning your original piece — but once it reaches us in new condition, we’ll ship your replacement free of charge, just as your first order arrived. No exchange fee on our end.
Returns & Refunds
If you’d rather return a piece than exchange it, here’s how it works:
- Email care@thaitraditionalwear.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the item you’d like to return. If you’re happy to share why, it genuinely helps us improve.
- We’ll send a return authorisation and our return address in Thailand. Please use a tracked service — return postage is the customer’s responsibility.
- Once your item arrives and passes inspection, we’ll issue your refund as store credit within 5–7 business days, ready to use whenever you’re next looking for the right piece.
Store credit never expires and is the simplest way for a small brand like ours to keep returns fair and fast. If your situation calls for a refund to your original payment method, just tell us when you reach out and we’ll talk it through.
Arrived Damaged or Incorrect?
We check every garment before it leaves us, but the occasional mistake or transit mishap can happen. If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or simply not what you ordered, we’re sorry — and we’ll make it right.
Email care@thaitraditionalwear.com as soon as you can, with your order number and a few clear photos of the issue. If the outer packaging is damaged too, a photo of that helps us with the shipping claim.
What We Can’t Accept
A small number of items can’t be returned or exchanged: anything marked Final Sale or Clearance, custom or altered pieces, and anything returned outside the 14-day window. Pieces that have been worn, washed, marked, or had their tags removed also can’t be accepted, as they’re no longer in new condition.
