Our Approach to Returns
We want you to feel confident ordering Thai traditional wear online. If something doesn’t work out – whether the fit isn’t quite right or you changed your mind – we’re here to help make it right.
Here’s what you need to know about our return and exchange policy.
Returning Items
You have 7 days from the date you receive your order to let us know if you’d like to return something. The item itself needs to be postmarked for return within those 7 days to be eligible for a refund.
To qualify for a return, items need to be in new condition – unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged, with original tags still attached. We know you might try things on, and that’s totally fine, but items should be in the same condition you received them.
For standard returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping method so you can confirm when your package arrives back to us. Sale and clearance items may have different return terms, so check the product page if you’re unsure.
How to Start a Return
The process is straightforward. Email us at support@thaitraditionalwear.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Let us know your order number, which item(s) you want to return, and if you’re comfortable sharing, why it didn’t work out – this feedback helps us improve.
We’ll send you a return authorization and provide our return shipping address in Northern Thailand. Once you ship the item back and we receive it, we’ll process your refund within 5-7 business days. The refund will go back to your original payment method – the same credit card, PayPal account, or digital wallet you used when ordering.
Keep in mind that your bank or payment provider might take an additional 5-10 business days to show the refund in your account. That’s on their end, but if it seems to be taking longer than expected, definitely reach out and we’ll help you track it down.
Exchanges
Sometimes you just need a different size or prefer another color. We’re happy to help with exchanges, and the same basic rules apply – contact us within 7 days of delivery, and the item needs to be in new, unworn condition.
Email us at support@thaitraditionalwear.com with your order number and let us know what you’d like to exchange for. We’ll confirm that the item you want is in stock and walk you through the process. You’ll ship your original item back to us (at your expense), and once we receive it, we’ll send out your exchange with free shipping, just like your original order.
Exchanges are a great option if you’re between sizes or realized after it arrived that a different style would work better for your occasion.
If You Received a Damaged or Wrong Item
We inspect every garment before it ships, but mistakes can happen, and occasionally items get damaged in transit. If you received something that’s damaged, defective, or just plain wrong, we sincerely apologize.
Please email us right away at support@thaitraditionalwear.com. Include your order number and some clear photos showing the issue – this helps us process things quickly. If there’s damage to the outer packaging too, photos of that are helpful for our shipping claims.
When the error is on our end, we’ll take care of everything. We’ll cover the return shipping costs and send you a replacement as quickly as possible. If you’d prefer a refund instead, that’s completely fine too – just let us know. We typically resolve these situations within 24-48 hours of hearing from you.
Items That Can’t Be Returned
A few items aren’t eligible for return or exchange. This includes anything marked as Final Sale or Clearance, custom or altered pieces, and items returned outside the 7-day window. Items also need to be in new condition – if they’ve been worn, washed, or damaged, we won’t be able to accept the return.
