The Somchai is a coordinated three-piece men’s Thai outfit featuring the distinctive Ploy Phan pattern. It includes a long-sleeve patterned shirt, a satin-style waist sash, and a coordinating Prae Wa silk-style Jongkraben.
The shirt features a stand collar, visible front buttons, and a repeating diamond motif. The matching sash adds a smooth sheen, while the pre-sewn Jongkraben completes the tailored traditional silhouette.
Available in green, purple, and red for Thai weddings, ordination ceremonies, temple visits, Songkran celebrations, and cultural events. The sangwan shoulder chain shown is not included.
The soft Ploy Phan-patterned shirt is breathable and comfortable, while the satin-style waist sash has an elegant sheen. The Prae Wa silk-style Jongkraben has an elastic waistband with a zipper and hook closure for comfortable, convenient wear.
For the best fit, choose a size with a garment chest measurement 2–4 inches larger than your actual chest measurement: S 42", M 44", L 46", and XL 48".
Place each piece in a separate mesh laundry bag and machine wash on a gentle cycle below 40°C with a mild detergent. Reshape after washing and dry in the shade.
Ironing is usually unnecessary. If needed, iron briefly on the reverse using low heat, taking extra care around the woven pattern and decorative details.
